Weddings

And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love.

1 Corinthians 13:13

Wedding Guidelines

A meeting with Pastor must be held prior to the wedding date.

Weddings are Christian religious services and all planning and decoration should be done accordingly.

Only traditional weddings are performed at Hope, thus the writing of vows is not permitted.

Since the wedding is a Christian religious service, only sacred music can be be used in the service. This applies to both vocal solos and to organ music. All vocal and music selections need to be discussed with the musician well in advance of the wedding. The musician will provide guidance in choosing appropriate music.

Questions regarding flower arrangements should be discussed with the wedding coordinator. She will work closely with you on delivery times and handling other arrangements. She will offer assistance both at the rehearsal and on the wedding day.

Please refrain from using cameras during the ceremony. During the recessional, flash pictures may be taken, as well as following the service. Professional photographers and videographers may use the choir loft during the ceremony.

Please no alcoholic beverages on the church premises.

We discourage the throwing of rice or birdseed.
