Kindergarten-8th Grade Admissions

Thank you for expressing an interest in Hope Lutheran School.  As you will see when you tour the campus and meet the staff, children and families of Hope Lutheran, it is the people and nurturing environment that makes Hope a special place for your child’s education.

Below is an outline of the admissions process that may answer many of the questions about how to enroll your child at Hope Lutheran.  The information is designed to help you understand what information or items are needed from you and what to expect from Hope during the process.  

Kindergarten Admissions Process

  • Attend the Hope Lutheran Kindergarten Preview night normally held in February and/or
  • Schedule a personal tour of our Campus, meet with our Principal.  Tour packets are provided during the tour, students are always welcome to tour with parent/guardian.  Note that a child entering Kindergarten should be five years old by September 1st of the year he or she is to be enrolled.
  • Submit Admissions Application 
  • Payment of non-refundable application fee
  • Schedule an appointment for Kindergarten Readiness Testing

Grades 1-8 Admissions Process

  • Schedule a personal tour of our Campus, meet with our Principal.  Tour packets are provided during the tour, students are always welcome to tour with parent/guardian.
  • Submit Admissions Application
  • Payment of non-refundable application fee
  • Submit 2 years current report cards, Testing Reports and AR Results (if available)
  • Schedule an Appointment for Testing – Math Placement, Reading & Writing  
  • Schedule a Shadow Day (Grades 4-8 optional)

Once all the necessary information has been received, the principal will examine and notify families by letter of their acceptance or a recommendation to meet.  When you receive your child’s letter of acceptance it will include an invoice for registration fees.  

Registration Procedure

Once registration fees have been received you will receive a “Getting Ready for School” packet.  Included will be the most recent copy of the parent/student handbook, information about immunizations and uniforms, school supply lists and information needed to complete registration.  These forms will need to be submitted before the first day of school.
